Soundtrack to Love

“Girl, Interrupted,” A film starring Winona Rider, Angelina Jolie, Brittany Murphy and Whoopi Goldberg, released in 1999 is a drama about a girl’s life-changing, 18 month stay in a mental institution in the late 60’s. Based on the memoir of Susanna Kaysen it is a great movie. Great book too.

This is an enjoyable soundtrack full of beautiful and timeless songs, all fitting to the emotional tone of the movie. There is one thing I take issue with and feel compelled to mention. The first track listed was not released until the 90’s. This one imperfection aside, I must say I love this soundtrack. It is a very sweet and sensitive compilation that lets you crunch on those good, good, good vibrations.
