Cohen's vocals are kind of raspy and low only giving further effect to the tone of this song. It is utterly priceless and loved by all committed cynics across the land. This song is pure poetry. It has a very serious tone with a hint of dark and tragic comedy. You can’t help but love this painfully honest and lyrically sardonic gem.
